Meet Lois Thompson: Continuing a Legacy at Central States

Since its founding in 1988, our title company, Central States Land Title Agency, Inc., has been run by Attorney Jim Mannos. Since 2017, paralegal and title agent Carla Johnson has been with him at the helm, assisting with closings, title insurance, and other title-related matters.

With Carla’s recent and much deserved retirement, we want to re-introduce you to Lois Thompson, who has been working behind the scenes at Central States Land Title Agency since 2025, and has been with our law firm for the past several years.

Meet Central State’s Newest Asset: Lois Thompson

Lois joined the Plakas Mannos team in 2023, bringing with her over a combined decade of office administrative and local government administrative experience. At Plakas Mannos, Lois is known as someone who can do it all, solving problems before others even know they exist, and smoothing edges to ensure a seamless client experience for both our law firm and title agency clients.

Since stepping into Central States Land Title Agency last year, Lois has showcased her exceptional organizational skills and proactive approach to her work. She has been a wonderful addition to Central States, and an invaluable resource to its clients.
