AMANDA M. PAAR
Amanda M. Paar is an associate with our firm. Her practice areas include employment law, business litigation, wrongful death and personal injury. Focusing on defending and prosecuting the rights of individuals, Ms. Paar has effectively resolved employment discrimination cases and whistleblower actions in both state and federal court, and has successfully argued in favor of employees’ rights under ERISA before the Sixth Circuit.
Ms. Paar was named a "Rising Star" by Law & Politics Magazine for 2010. The Rising Star list is comprised of the top 2.5% of Ohio lawyers under the age of 40. Those who are chosen withstand a rigorous nomination and selection process.
Ms. Paar was admitted to the Ohio bar in 2006 and is licensed to practice in all state courts, the District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Paar is a member of the Stark County and Ohio Associations for Justice. She is part of the Ohio Association for Justice’s Amicus Brief Committee, where she promotes the rights of individuals and families to the Ohio Supreme Court on critical and decisive issues.
Ms. Paar is a 2005 graduate of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Paar’s dedication to courtroom advocacy carried her to numerous honors in Moot Court competition. Ms. Paar also served as co-editor-in-chief for her law school student newspaper, The Gavel, which won the 2005 American Bar Association competition for Best Law School Student Newspaper. Ms. Paar, a life-long resident of Stark County, graduated from Central Catholic High School. She continued on to Kent State University where she graduated cum laude with a degree in Mathematics.
Ms. Paar is an active member of the North Canton Jaycees, where she coordinates activities such as the NC Jaycees / Stark DD Special Olympics Track Meet, Safety Towm the July 4th Parade, Jaycee Fair, and annual North Canton Easter Egg Hunt.
Ms. Paar is a professional harpist and occasionally plays at weddings and other events.
