Robert G. Konstand

Robert G. Konstand was born in Akron, Ohio in 1952. He earned a Bachelor of Arts (with honors) degree in 1974 and his Juris Doctorate degree in 1977, both from The University of Akron.

As a fulltime practicing attorney for more than 33 years, Mr. Konstand maintains a transactional practice with emphasis on business, commercial and real estate transactions. His services are in demand for business and real estate negotiations, loan work-outs, including restructuring, and asset protection consultations. He is also experienced in employment law, labor law, construction law and zoning law, as well as litigating business and real estate matters.

Mr. Konstand enjoys working with his clients in their day-to-day business matters, offering sound business advice and guidance on financing, inventory, cash flow, personnel, expansion, cost cutting, real estate, financial statements and auditing, and other business matters. He has been successful in consulting with his clients during economic downturns to minimize or eliminate detrimental impacts.

Admitted to practice in Ohio in 1977, Mr. Konstand was also admitted to the Florida Bar in 1979. He is a member of the Ohio State and Akron bar associations, as well as the Florida Bar. Representative clients include: local real estate owners, developers and managers; small and medium-sized businesses; individual business people and business trusts; and well as various local governmental entities.

Mr. Konstand has been representing Bath Township in Summit County for over 10 years, handling its land use, signage and zoning issues, as well as union negotiations/contracts and intergovernmental relations, both in administrative actions and in civil litigation. He also represents several other local governmental entities.

For the past 12 years, Mr. Konstand has also been the owner-operator of a chain of full service restaurants with more than 150 employees. This has provided him with extensive experience operating businesses while simultaneously practicing law. He also has a variety of business, real estate and construction pursuits in Northeast Ohio and Florida.

Mr. Konstand is an avid pilot and holds a commercial license with instrument and multi-engine ratings. He is one of eight appointed members of the Akron Canton Regional Airport Authority Board of Trustees and is active in various local civic organizations.
